The Good Samaritan food bank exists to help feed those in need in Coffee County and has been helping the needy since 1983. It’s mission is to feed the hungry of Manchester and Coffee County. FPC Manchester collects peanut butter on the second Sunday of each month to donate to Good Sam. Their facebook page occasionally has requests for specific items for donation; these donations can be dropped off at their location, 115 Park Place, Manchester on Mondays from 9 - 11:45am.
Good Samaritan is primarily a food bank, BUT also serves as an administering agency for Project HELP. The Project HELP program helps defray the cost of energy for elderly or special needs/handicapped members in need.
Hours of operation are Monday & Friday 9 - 11:45, Wed 12:30 - 3:30. Good Sam is CLOSED on the 4th Wednesdays of each month. Good Samaritan is located at 115 Park Place (near Praters BBQ) in Manchester.
